Crystal Hunt: From Daytime Soaps to the Big Screen and Beyond

Crystal Hunt was born on February 5, 1985 in Clearwater Florida. As a toddler she participated in beauty pageants and starred in several commercials. She got the role of “daughter” in the movie “Problem Child 2” at the age of 6.

In 2003 at the age of 18 she began her stint on the daytime serial “The Guiding Light.” Her character Lizzie Spaulding became well known to fans of the show. In 2005 she earned a role in “The Derby Stallion,” a movie where she had the “pretty girl” role and worked opposite Zac Efron. Sadly this movie did not fare very well, but Crystal was not to be discouraged. After finishing with “The Guiding Light” in 2006 she co-starred in the romantic comedy “Sydney White” along side Amanda Bynes.

In 2009 Crystal Hunt joined yet another daytime soap to become Stacy Morasco on “One Life to Live.” She played this role until 2012.

2013 brought another role to Crystal in the movie “23 Blast.” In this football film the star player loses his sight and overcomes challenges to move on. Crystal plays his girlfriend before he loses his sight.

Crystal Hunt received a big break when she got the role of Lauren in “Magic Mike XXL” the blockbuster sequel to “Magic Mike.” In 2015 she was cast in the sequel aside many other stars such as Jada Pinkett Smith and Andie MacDowell.

Currently Crystal is on a show called “Queens of Drama.” This show consists of former daytime and prime time actresses who are hoping to be lucky enough to get a new series. They all work as themselves in hopes to convince someone to take them on and begin a new drama. Some of her co-stars on the show are Joan Collins, well-known for her work on “Dynasty,” Hunter Tylo and Donna Mills, who starred on dozens of 70s TV series as well as “Knots Landing” and “Melrose Place.” Keep an eye out for these women in the future!

Another fun fact about Crystal Hunt is that she owned her own high-scale pet boutique called “My Pets Dream Boutique.” She also produced the movie “Talbot County” in 2014, along with her long time friend.  She’s also tried her hand at photography, even opening up a website.
